Mediumship & Intuition

About the show

Guest host Rollye James welcomed teacher and psychic medium Dr. Lauren Thibodeau, who's been a registered medium at the renowned Lily Dale Assembly since 1996. 'Dr. Lauren' offered insights into how people can use intuitive and psychic ability to enhance their lives. Intuition, which typically comes in a flash of awareness, can help in decision making, but should be used as an adjunct with logical thinking, she stressed. Practicing meditation is a good way to become intuitive and sensitive-- as the mind becomes comfortable taking an inward journey, she added.

Deceased spirits don't appear in full form to her, but rather are seen and felt as though she is "looking through a transparency." The emphasis on how they died is often focused on because it can provide a client a means of verifying the accuracy of the communication, she explained. Interestingly, spirits who died suddenly have told her that they encourage relatives not to name their children after them because it can impart a fear of sudden death to the young child.

In terms of becoming aware of one's spirit guide, Thibodeau suggested that people invite their guide to make him or herself known, ask for their name, and then tune in at a specific time for responses.
