Health News/ Healing Power Of Eight

About the show

In the first half, Dr. Joel Wallach discussed the body and its ability to use natural healing without using modern medicine. He pointed out the benefits of natural remedies that aid in the body's recovery of many diseases that affect us today. Wallach said that his company now has "900 products to take care of over 5000 diseases." He also offered his opinion that dealing with cancer can be effected by the use of antioxidants and immune support rather than chemotherapy, and added that he "could have saved John McCain if he had come to us." His company is jumping on the CBD oil market surge with a product for relaxation that also includes known effective herbs such as chamomile, lavender, valerian, as well as melatonin.

Wallach recommended red wine as a good source of the antioxidant resveratrol, also contained in highly concentrated amounts in one of his supplements. Beer, on the other hand, he said, must be gluten-free, since it blocks nutrient absorption in the digestive tract. He continued with his idea that diabetes, particularly type 2, can be cured with the use of mineral supplements. He also stated his belief that psychotic disorders that result in school shooters, serial killers and the like are also due to the lack of a certain mineral that he would not readily reveal, but which George correctly guessed was lithium. Wallach emphasized that this needs to be used in combination with other minerals to be effective. He also reiterated his support of cholesterol as an essential part of a healthy diet.

Award-winning author Lynne McTaggart is one of the central authorities on the new science of consciousness and architect of the Intention Experiments, a web-based "global laboratory." McTaggart says that we live in a collective consciousness which she calls "the Field" and that by utilizing this idea, that "we can shift everything that is going on with our thoughts" in order to affect real change. Her projects involve groups working with their mental intentions to help others. She said that not only were the groups having measurable effects on the objects of their intention, but that the group members were experiencing positive effects in their own lives, apparently as a result of their altruistic motives.

She described a recent experiment with reducing the crime rate in the area with the most per capita violent crimes in the U.S. McTaggart said her group intention activities appeared to have reduced the incidents to "43% from the year before." She added that for the objects of the healing intentions, that attitude does not seem to matter, in other words, the person being healed doesn’t even need to believe in the power of the group sending the positive thoughts to them. McTaggart stated that the most important aspect of these groups in order to be effective was to meet regularly and that the "sweet spot" for the number of individuals in the group seems to be eight, even though more or less that number will work too. She also discussed the power of intention to change your own life, pointing out that people must be very specific, saying "figure out what you really want, and then tell the universe."
