Moon Hoax Theory

About the show

In the first hour and a half of the program, Ian Punnett spoke with documentary filmmaker Bart Sibrel, who provided evidence that he believes shows the moon missions were faked by NASA. Sibrel said the lack of photographic evidence of Neil Armstrong's famous moon walk is suspect, as is the famous astronaut's seeming unwillingness to talk about his alleged experiences on the moon. Sibrel thinks Armstrong alluded to this deception in a cryptic speech from 1994, when he reportedly told a group of high school students that someday they would be able to "remove one of truth's protective layers."

One of those layers may involve the 25,000 mile thick Van Allen radiation belt, which Sibrel insisted would have kept the Apollo astronauts from traveling beyond low earth orbit. According to Sibrel, Apollo 12 astronaut Alan Bean admitted that he did not pass through this dangerous radiation barrier. Sibrel also spoke about moon mission photos, specifically what he believes is a fake shot by the Apollo 11 crew purportedly showing their progress halfway to the moon, as well as his controversial theory about the Apollo 1 fire, which he said may have been deliberately set by the CIA.

Callers lined up on both sides of the debate, many agreeing in one way or another with Sibrel. Ian invited Sibrel back at the beginning of the third hour to speak with Kevin W. Kelley, author of The Home Planet. Kelley said he has looked at every hand held image taken by the astronauts and concluded that they did go to the moon. Sibrel disagreed, pointing out that the moon photos appear to have been lit using artificial lights (in a studio).

Open Lines

During Open Lines, Richard from North Haven, Connecticut referred Ian to a recent photo of Charles Manson that he said shows a man who has lived a "life of pain." Victoria in Arizona talked about a connection between Manson victim, Sharon Tate, and Robert Kennedy, and suggested Manson used MK Ultra mind control techniques on his followers. Ian also played an audio clip from journalist Seymour Hersh, who claims to have uncovered an 'executive assassination ring' led by former Vice President Dick Cheney. More details at MSNBC.
