Appearing in the first half of the show, Alex Jones (1st hour) and Dr. Sherri Tenpenny (2nd hour) discussed contaminated vaccines and Bird Flu. Jones reported that Baxter International had released live avian flu viruses in some of its vaccines made at its plant in Austria, and there was conjecture this was done intentionally as part of a conspiracy to provoke a pandemic. More here.
Dr. Tenpenny suggested that Baxter's contaminated vaccines were probably the result of sloppy practices rather than an intentional act. She warned that vaccinations can actually contribute to deaths rather than prevent them, by weakening the immune system and increasing susceptibility. People who have been exposed to chemicals such as dioxin may be more likely to succumb to viruses, she noted.

In the latter half of the show, senior astronomer at SETI, Seth Shostak talked about his new book Confessions of an Alien Hunter, and the search of ET life. The evidence that extraterrestrials have visited Earth in recent years is weak, and witness testimony is unreliable, he declared. It is possible that aliens seeded our planet in its earliest stages with single cell life, he conceded.
Life on ET worlds would probably have some resemblance to ours if the beings were biological, said Shostak. The life forms would likely have some sort of molecules similar to DNA, though they wouldn't necessarily look human, he added. The newly launched Kepler Mission will search for Earth-like planets, and depending on its findings, could offer locations for SETI to search for radio signals.
Shostak holds out hope for SETI's Allen Array which will have 350 antennas at completion and offer unprecedented data and scanning capabilities. He also discussed what happens when an anomalous signal is discovered, such as a 1997 incident (later found to be interference) that attracted immediate media attention.
