A former scientist for major DOD contractors, Maureen Caudill discussed her awakening into psychic phenomena and how she forged a link between the worlds of science and the paranormal. In a training program at the Monroe Institute she had a set of experiences that shattered her former world view. During the sessions, she said she channeled a deceased person, experienced precognition, remote viewed with precise accuracy and conducted remote healing on her sick cat.

Such occurrences made her reevaluate the scientific concept of cause and effect, and look at time in a different way. People particularly gifted in psychic abilities may have thinner boundaries between their conscious and subconscious, she theorized. Caudill said she is able to tap into her psychic awareness during deep meditations (she suggested the Hemi-Sync tapes as a tool for helping the brain achieve a synchronized state).

In an on-air demonstration of spoon-bending technique, she presented an exercise involving first brushing your fingertips across your palm, then imagining the sensation mentally.This subtle energy is then visualized as an "energy ball" that runs through the spoon, and after several minutes of concentration the metal of the utensil may become soft and bend.
