Security, Warfare & the Port Deal

About the show

Consultant Charles R. Smith commented on such topics as computer security, military technology, and the UAE port deal. Computer hackers can gain access to personal information through such methods as keystroke logging, and he suggested that Internet users make sure they have antiviral and firewall software installed to protect themselves.

Smith discussed AESA (active electronically scanned array) radar, an advanced weapon using microwave radiation that is being readied for use for US Air Force jets. It can be used to jam or retrieve enemy communications, he said (more info). Smith also opined on the port deal, which he now supports, as he has not found that Dubai Ports World has any links to terrorism.

The last hour of the show featured Open Lines.

First Hour Guests

Producer Victoria Holt discussed the upcoming Sci-Fi Channel TV series, The Gift, which is now casting. The new reality show is a kind of "Psychic American Idol," she said, in which participants will be put through a boot camp run by psychics, including medium John Holland. Remote viewer David Morehouse will host the program.

Author Robert Felix joined the show to comment on the report that Antarctic ice is shrinking. He finds such studies to be misleading and argued that snow depth and glaciers are actually increasing in size.
