In his live Christmas Eve broadcast, George hosted a night of Open Lines, with a special topic line devoted to miracle stories, as well as discussed angels with author Rosemary Ellen Guiley during the first two hours of the show.
Guiley described two angelic falls recorded in the Scriptures: one attributed to Lucifer, another when the "sons of God" (mentioned in Genesis 6:4) married human women and had children, producing giant hybrid offspring called nephilim. She said God charged the archangels with punishing the "sons of God," and ultimately sent a great flood to destroy the nephilim. Noah, who was spared during the flood, may have been of angelic or extra-terrestrial origin, Guiley suggested.
Guiley believes everyone has a guardian angel, and said there could be a "host of angels around us" in human form. As evidence she pointed to the biblical story of Abraham, who was visited by three heavenly messengers but did not recognize them as angels. Guiley claims people can communicate with angels, and through them, foster a closer connection with God.
