Abduction Enigmas

About the show

Founder of the Intruders Foundation, Budd Hopkins, talked about his continued research into the alien abduction phenomenon. He discussed two developments which are explored in his most recent book, Sight Unseen.

One is the recurring theme of invisibility, in which abductees can be floated by beams of light into spacecraft in populous areas, without anyone taking notice. In one unusual case which took place in 1948, two young children were found on stone steps a number flights down from their home. It was thought they might have fallen out the window but they were uninjured, though they were temporarily paralyzed. They later recalled being floated up into a craft, which took place in broad daylight, Hopkins recounted.

Another phenomenon he touched on was that of "transgenic beings," whom he classified as part human and part alien. They are able to participate in the real world, though they seem to have the ability to control behavior, read minds and pass through walls, he noted. While we are beginning to understand the alien's methods, "we still don't know what their objective is," though it certainly seems to involve the harvesting of reproductive materials, Hopkins concluded.
