Biography:

Maureen Seaberg is an expert blogger on the senses for Psychology Today. She is the coauthor of Struck by Genius: How a Brain Injury Made Me a Mathematical Marvel with savant Jason Padgett. The book is now optioned for film. She has written for the New York Times, National Geographic, Vogue and beyond. She is working on a new book for St. Martin's Press about the astonishing sensory capabilities of everyday people. Ms. Seaberg herself has extraordinary sensory experiences as a poly-synesthete (including the profound empathy of mirror-touch synesthesia) and is a tetrachromat -- a superseer who possesses a fourth cone class for color perception.
