Dennis Cole

Biography:

Dennis Cole is the editor of the newspaper in Steeleville Illinois. He came across a very interesting and puzzling story and ran it on the front page of the Steeleville Ledger newspaper. The story is all fact based and here is what happened:

At around 5:00 am on Saturday morning, the local authorities in Jackson County, Illinois received a phone call that a train possibly hit an individual on the train tracks. Two engineers with the railroad reportedly spotted a subject laying on the tracks in Dowell, IL. They blew there horns and tried to stop the train. As they got closer, the subject laying in the tracks sat up and looked at the two engineers as the train hit the person. They got the train stopped and called for help. The local sheriffs department, fire department, and the police responded to the scene and searched for the person that was hit for four hours by foot and four wheelers, and not one speck of blood or clothing was found. The two engineers where very concerned that they had hit someone and swear there was someone on the tracks. The detective that Dennis interviewed said it is a bizarre situation and the railroad company said there is no possible way for anyone to lay and not get drug or killed by the train. Where the story takes an eerie twist, is that last year on the same tracks a young man was killed on his four wheeler trying to beat a train. And a few years before, a young child was hit and killed on the tracks. Dennis said that he knows it sounds like a hoax or a ghostly story, but It is all factual and he went and took a picture of where the incident took place.
