Darrell Bock

Biography:

Darrell Bock is a Research Professor of New Testament Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary. His book, Breaking the Da Vinci Code made the New York Times Best Seller List in 2004. Topics of his media work have ranged from defining who evangelicals are for the media, to questions surrounding Jesus studies and the gospels, to issues tied to eschatology, the Middle East and Israel, to how Christianity relates to other world religions (especially Judaism and Islam), Christian views of war, issues tied to European's reaction to US politics and religious views, and how Christianity and culture interact.

He is on the Board of Chosen People Ministries and on the Editorial Board for the Journal for the Study of the Historical Jesus. He has served as a translation consultant to The Message, The New Living Translation, The NET Bible, The English Standard Version, and The Voice. He is an editor at large for Christianity Today and served as President of the Evangelical Theological Society for the year 2000-2001.
