Legends of Ufology

About the show

Filling in for Art Bell, Ian Punnett welcomed artist and researcher Bill McDonald, who discussed his background and work, as well as the late Leonard Stringfield and other legendary UFO investigators that have passed on.

Ray Harryhausen

In the first hour, Ian chatted with special effects master Ray Harryhausen (book link), who helped advance stop motion animation techniques and produced such classic films as Jason and the Argonauts and Clash of the Titans. Harryhausen said he worked alone on his films, toiling for four months to create the 5-minute skeleton sword battle sequence in The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. Despite the rise of computer animation in films, Harryhausen believes there's still room for stop motion.
