Rosslyn Chapel & Gnosticism

About the show

Mark Pinkham, who heads the International Order of Gnostic Templars, spoke about the mysteries of the Rosslyn Chapel and Gnostic beliefs. The Gnostic path suggests that sacred knowledge is inside each person, and the goal is to discover it and transform oneself, he said. An individual's evolution can be enhanced in various ways, such as through alchemy, Tai Chi, Tarot, Kundalini energy, and the shamanic use of the San Pedro cactus, Pinkham outlined.

He spoke about his visits to the Rosslyn Chapel, a small gothic cathedral in Scotland, which has been suspected to house ancient treasures of the Knights Templar like the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, the head of John the Baptist and various scrolls. These relics could be buried in the Chapel's crypt which goes down 44 feet.

The current owners have not made any plans for excavation, and Pinkham theorized that the Catholic Church may not wish for certain information to be revealed, such as a scroll that states Jesus was one of a number of great masters, but not the son of God. The Chapel also contains evocative imagery on its walls such as the repeated "green man" which Pinkham related to Gnostic symbolism. For more, view Pinkham's images of Rosslyn Chapel.

Floodwater Disease

First half-hour guest Professor Gil Smolin, the author of Reign of the Rat, discussed the problem of flood related disease, facing people that are still in New Orleans. Viruses and contaminants in the water can readily travel through skin and make people ill. He believes it is crucial for any remaining residents to evacuate the area. Workers should be vaccinated and wear protective gloves and uniforms, he added.
