Dr. James Kornberg, an expert in environmental health, shared his view of the current epidemic of asthma and other auto-immune diseases. Many of these illnesses are brought on when the body reacts against itself, he said (such as in the case of Lupus, the cause of which is still not fully understood). He also discussed occupational and environmental lung ailments such as those that can occur from the vapors involved in welding.

In the home, Kornberg said that "inadequate ventilation" is a major problem, as proper ventilation is needed to get contaminants out. Home testing kits are now available for diagnosing specific problems, he noted. He also suggested that if purchasing chemical products from a hardware store, one ask for the "Material Safety Data Sheet," which can provide important information to protect oneself.

Kornberg, a close friend of the late Eugene Mallove, said that at this time it is still believed his death was the result of a robbery gone awry, rather than an attempt to silence him because of his work in Cold Fusion. He read an email that Mallove sent him, which listed three websites which he considered significant in the field of new energy: infinite-energy.com, blacklightpower.com, and aetherometry.com.
