About the show

Uri Geller, considered by many to be the world's most celebrated and investigated paranormalist, shared insights into his past and the amazing powers of the mind. As a young child, he said, he was hit in the head by "a sphere of light," and after that he began to manifest psychic skills such as spoonbending.

Geller said he was first brought to the US by the CIA who were interested in making use of his mental powers. Later, he said his skills were tested in controlled laboratory studies such as at SRI. Geller conducted an on-air experiment asking listeners to place broken watches and spoons on their radios, and many people subsequently called in or fastblasted to say that their timepieces began working again. Geller explained that his voice can act as a catalyst for people to trigger their own belief systems, which may have an energetic impact on the objects. "Parascience" is becoming more accepted in the mainstream, and this may stem from recent breakthroughs in the study of subatomic particles, he declared.
