Dr. Lopez, co-authorof Storms from the Sun, explores the emerging physical science of spaceweather and traces its increasing impact on a society that relies onspace-based technologies. Ramon E. Lopez is the C. Sharp Cook DistinguishedProfessor in the Department of Physics at the University of Texas at ElPaso. He received his B.S. degree in Physics from the University ofIllinois, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Space Physics from RiceUniversity.
