Guy Lyon Playfair was born in India, educated in England, and graduated from Cambridge University. He immigrated to Brazil and spent 14 years there as freelance journalist, with a 4-year stint with the U.S Agency for International Development. While in Brazil, he became interested in the abundant psychic phenomena - 'psychic surgeons', poltergeists, mediums. etc.
Guy then returned to England in 1975 and has written a total of 12 books, the best known being This House is Haunted and most recently Twin Telepathy. Guy became seriously interested in twin telepathy about 20 years ago when he met a man whose uncle (a twin) had been shot dead.
