Occult Mysteries/ Open Lines

Date

Hosted byJimmy Church

In the first half of the show, alternative history and occult expert Tracy Twyman joined guest host Jimmy Church (email) (filling in for George) to discuss the origins of Friday the 13th and its relationship with the Knights Templar. Twyman traced the superstitious stigma surrounding the day to what happened on Friday, October 13, 1307, when the King of France had the Templars arrested for allegedly worshipping demonic idols and engaging in ritual sexual promiscuity. The desire to avenge what happened to the Templars on that infamous Friday the 13th has been associated with other secret societies throughout history, she noted. According to one account, at the execution of Louis XVI in 1793, a Freemason picked up the severed head of the deposed king and exclaimed, "Jacques de Molay (last Grand Master of the Knights Templar), thou art avenged!"

Twyman delved into why '13' is considered an unlucky number. The number '13' is one beyond '12' which is widely considered a number of completion or perfection (12 apostles, 12 zodiac signs), she explained. "To mystics and occultists the number '13' has been associated with alchemy, it's associated with transmuting reality, and that idea of having one step beyond perfection... you can use the power of magic to change things," Twyman continued. It has been associated with Baphomet (book link), the idol Templar's were accused of worshipping, she added. Twyman pointed out America's tie to '13' in the number of original colonies and stars on the first flag, as well as how Freemasons purposely integrated the number '13' into the design of the one dollar bill. She also commented on the possible synchronicity of the terror attacks in Paris happening on Friday the 13th, noting "terrorist attacks do have a history of happening on significant dates."

During Open Lines, several callers offered their opinions on the Paris terror attacks. Joe in Orchard Park, New York, suggested the tragedy in France is associated with Friday the 13th, specifically because it was the day the Knights Templar were captured and executed. "It's basically commemorating the death of an elite Christian force that fought against Muslims," he said. Michael from Livermore, California, agreed with previous callers who saw a link between Friday the 13th and the terrorist attacks in France, noting ISIS is a multi-billion dollar organization that is very methodical about its operations. Dennis in Philadelphia thinks the Paris attacks in France were predicted by The Shemitah, but not necessarily associated with Friday the 13th. Nancy from Indianapolis linked the solar eclipse and spring equinox along with the movement of Mars to the attacks in Paris.

Analyst of geopolitics and foreign policy Craig B. Hulet offered commentary on the Paris terror attacks during the first half hour of the program.
