A new foundation has been created to research ET contact called FREE (The Dr. Edgar Mitchell Foundation for Research into Extraterrestrial Encounters), acting as a support network for anomalous contact experiencers and researchers alike. George Knapp was joined by FREE members and researchers Mary Rodwell, Dr. Jon Klimo, and Rey Hernandez to discuss the scientific study of the phenomenon and how FREE's efforts might change how we view experiencers.
Hernandez spoke during the second hour about the strange incidents that led him into ET encounter research. He recalled the day in 2012 when he and his wife had a two different close encounters in their home. Hernandez said his wife had carried their sick dog downstairs where she discovered a metallic mini-craft with blinking lights in the living room. According to Hernandez, his wife disappeared before his eyes and he saw what appeared to be a small rectangular object made of translucent multi-colored plasma energy. He believes the object put him to sleep then returned his wife and healed their dog. Hernandez described seeing a gigantic stadium-sized craft that he claimed to have called down from the sky. Four other people, including his daughter, saw the craft and the incident was reported to MUFON, he said. "Since that day it's just been many, many experiences, mainly paranormal experiences," he revealed.
In the latter half of the program, Rodwell explained how researchers have made strides in the nuts and bolts of ufology but struggled to quantify the aspect of human multi-dimensional experience which covers out-of-body and near-death experiences, time distortions, healing abilities, and information downloads. "The majority of human beings, certainly in the United States, have had non-ordinary experiences," Klimo added. He talked about his advocacy for the legitimacy and authenticity of claims of a larger reality and his work trying to formulate a unified field theory which includes non-ordinary experiences. Rodwell commented on Hernandez's experiences and how they and other synchronicities led to the formation of FREE. Klimo detailed the interrelation of anomalous things and how everything is contained within consciousness. All entity-like beings, including extraterrestrials, are cosmological subpersonalities of a single being, he noted.
Near Death Studies
First hour guest, Diane Corcoran, president of IANDS (International Association for Near-Death Studies), talked about her experiences with NDEs as a nurse during the Vietnam War. Corcoran shared the account of a young soldier amputee, who told her when he was injured he had left his physical body, witnessed the spirits of other soldiers, and even knew who would live and die on the battlefield. The soldier's story moved Corcoran to action. "I really felt it was a medical/nursing responsibility to understand this phenomena so that we could support people," she said. Corcoran asked veterans who have experienced NDEs and want to speak to someone about it to contact her organization at vethelp@iands.org.
