Interacting with Angels / Open Lines

Date

Hosted byIan Punnett

In the first half of the program, Ian Punnett welcomed author Lorna Byrne, who discussed her lifelong contact with angels. Byrne, who claims to have been interacting with the entities for as long as she could remember, quipped that she has seen angels "from the moment I opened my eyes." Over the course of her life, she said, these beings have facilitated contact with her deceased brother as well as foretold who her husband would be and how their relationship would progress. Based on her experience and ability to see the entities, she revealed that every person, regardless of religion or morality, has a guardian angel. In fact, they are so pervasive, Byrne said she would be shocked if she saw someone "without the light of a guardian angel."

On why it appears that guardian angels help some people and not others, Byrne explained that they are only allowed a limited amount of intervention. Ultimately, she said, it is up to humans whether or not they will listen to their guardian angel. "We're the ones that have the power, you have to remember," she observed, "we're the ones who have the power to go right when, deep down inside of us, we know we should go left." She stressed that learning to recognize these messages from our guardian angels, no matter how subtle, could have a profound impact on not only ourselves, but the world at large. "If we'd only listen a little bit more and respond," Byrne mused, "life would be much easier. I know we wouldn't be having war at all."

Open Lines

The second half of the program was devoted to Open Lines and featured callers talking about a variety of topics including WikiLeaks, predatory snakes, and UFOs. On that note, Frank in Wisconsin weighed in with his theory that the reason why the government doesn't reveal the truth about UFOs is because ETs are actually the power brokers behind the scenes. Tammy in Oklahoma shared the story of her fourteen-year-old son, who has always had extremely sensitive hearing. So remarkable are his abilities, that he recently claimed to have heard a plane crash, despite there being no evidence for such an event in the sky. A skeptical Tammy dismissed his claims until she watched the evening news and they reported on a plane crash that took place 125 miles away.

Throughout the two hours of Open Lines, the theme of 'soul mates' also emerged, inspired by the first caller, Mary in Pittsburgh, who pondered the nature of such pairings. Later on in the evening, numerous callers told stories of having soul mates that did not conform to the traditional romantic definition of the concept. For instance, Dan in San Diego shared the story of his best friend, who he called his "spiritual twin." Remarkably, the pair share the exact same birthday, relatives with the same full name, and they even recently both lost the same tooth. "And it goes on and on and on like this," he marveled. Similarly, Rachel in San Jose talked about her soul mate, whom she met serendipitously while working in Germany. Much like Dan and his friend, the duo's birthdays are also mere hours apart and their lives share a number of eerie parallels, such as both having last names that "are a type of food."
