Psychiatrist and past-life therapist Dr. Ed Klein talked about how he uses hypnosis to heal patients of phobias caused by traumas that occurred during a previous lifetime. Klein believes a person's soul can leave the physical body and travel to an "in between state," where it remains until it goes into another body. The subconscious, a part of the soul that stores all of the memories and knowledge gained from past lives, is transferred (albeit imperfectly) to the new incarnation, he added.
According to Klein, going back via hypnosis to experience significant parts of a past life, including death, can often lead to healing in the present. As an example, he discussed his work with a patient named Carol who had a severe fear of heights. Klein said he regressed Carol back to a past life where she recalled being a teenager in a village that was under attack by armed men on horseback. The men used spears to force Carol off a cliff, Klein said, noting that after she confronted her previous death she lost her fear of heights.
Shroud Update
In the first half-hour, writer Lynn Picknett commented on the Shroud of Turin, as well as a new burial cloth discovered in Jerusalem (article). Picknett enumerated several reasons "the Turin Shroud cannot be the real thing." The image on the Shroud would be distorted if it had actually wrapped a body, she said. In addition, the front image is 6ft 8in tall, while the height of the back image is 6ft 10in. According to Picknett, the Shroud of Turin was created by Leonardo da Vinci using a primitive photographic technique, and bears the face of the famous Renaissance artist.
