Spiritual Issues

Author Neale Donald Walsch returned to the show to share his bold approach to the subject of religion. His popular book series, he explained, was fueled by his writing questions to God, whom he heard answering his queries. We have been trained to think that it's blasphemous to speak with God, yet this is an innate ability humans have, he said.

The issue is not where did God come from, said Walsch, but rather what is going on now. Most importantly, do we have the right relationship with one another? he asked. The end of life as we know it could be right around the corner, due to faulty belief structures, Walsch warned. "Humanity's problems are not political or economic," but spiritual in nature, he continued.

He characterized humanity's dilemma as a struggle between old and new ways of thought. We need to change the fundamental belief of "separation theology"--- the idea that we are separate from each other, he suggested. Walsch revealed that the last book in his series, to be called Dying with God, will be published in 2006 and will deal with the afterlife.

EMP Weapon?

First hour guest Joseph Farah of WorldNetDaily discussed the possibility that Iran may be developing an electromagnetic pulse weapon that could disable America's power grid. Such an effect could be created by launching a nuclear weapon on a missile and dispersing it at a high altitude, he reported. The U.S. should take precautions in protecting its infrastructure from this kind of attack, Farah advocated. For more, see his recently published article.
