Col. John Alexander, the author of Future War and Winning the War, discussed the mindset of current conflicts, and also touched on weapons technology and remote viewing. "The war of the future is not geographic," but rather pits "belief system against belief system," he declared, specifically citing Islam as being in a difficult conflict with other religions and governmental systems. Alexander believes we are headed into a new "outsourcing" phase of war, where "elite contractors" will replace what were formerly called mercenaries.
He noted several new non-lethal weapons technologies which included: the "Active Denial System," operating on large scale millimeter waves which hit the skin and cause pain and "Shock Rounds," whereby bullets deliver an incapacitating electric shock. The latter technology has impressed him and he said he may be joining the company involved in its manufacture. This weekend Alexander will be speaking at the International Remote Viewing Association Conference (IRVA) in Las Vegas.
