Author Byron Belitsos, Thursday's guest for two hours, discussed the legendary "Urantia Book", a 2000-page tome first published in 1955, which many consider an epochal revelation to our planet for science, religion, and history. "It's a gift to humanity," said Belitsos, explaining that one of the book's chief purposes is to find a way to harmonize religious beliefs into a "unity of spirit and feeling."
Tracing the start of the book to Chicago in 1910, Belitsos said the text was transmitted to an anonymous "contact personality," from highly spiritual beings or "super angels" who hail from the center of our galaxy. "Urantia" is the name the beings ascribed to our planet, which they delineated as the 606th inhabited world of our local system. Mention is also made of a planet lacking an atmosphere, occupied by "non-breathers," that is near to us (probably in our solar system).
Belitsos said that much of the material in the Urantia Book could be considered an "enhancement" of the Bible or "angelic record" of what Jesus did and said. There are also details of rebellious "fallen angels," to which many of our Earthly travails are pinned on. Adam & Eve, according to the book, were "biological uplifters," which every inhabited planet gets at some stage to "intermarry with indigenous beings."
Urantian Paradise
Thee following is a description of Paradise, "the cosmic center of all things," as revealed in The Urantia Book:
"Paradise is the eternal center of the universe of universes and the abiding place of the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, [and] the Infinite Spirit ... The personal presence of the Universal Father is resident at the very center of [Paradise]. This Paradise presence of the Universal Father is immediately surrounded by the personal presence of the Eternal Son, while they are both invested by the unspeakable glory of the Infinite Spirit. God dwells, has dwelt, and everlastingly will dwell in this same central and eternal abode. We have always found him there and always will. The Universal Father is cosmically focalized, spiritually personalized, and geographically resident at this center of the universe of universes."
Kecksburg Lawsuit
First hour guest, journalist Leslie Kean of CFi spoke about the lawsuit her organization & the SCI FI Channel are considering in order to get the Government to release records of the 1965 Kecksburg, PA UFO incident. Friday night's SCI FI special Kecksburg Exposed includes the testimony of a scientist who said there is still tree damage in the exact spot where witnesses said the object landed, Kean said, adding that it was made clear that this damage was not due to weather. She also pointed out that an Orbital Debris expert confirmed that what crashed at Kecksburg could not have been the Russian satellite Cosmos 96 that some have suggested.
