Billy Gibbons

Nicknamed "The Reverand Willie G", Billy Gibbons is best known as the guitarist for that "Little Ol' Band from Texas", ZZ Top. He is also the singer and composer for many of the classic songs the band is known for. Prior to forming ZZ Top in late 1969, Billy played in the band "The Moving Sidewalks", opening for Jimi Hendrix on a series of Texas concerts. Later, Hendrix proclaimed to Johnny Carson that Billy Gibbons was the most promising new guitarist on the scene. As well as being a gifted musician, he is also a car enthusiast and collector of vintage guitars and African art. In 2005, Billy authored his first book, "Billy F. Gibbons: Rock + Roll Gearhead."
