Colin D. Campbell has held an interest in all things occult for nearly three decades, developing an interest in Western occultism in his late teens and early twenties, with a special interest in the European grimoire traditions on spirit conjuring that entered during the Renaissance period. He also (and perhaps more famously) has a strong affinity for the work of Aleister Crowley, who was heir to that tradition, and equally born of the syncretism that was the genius of The Golden Dawn.
