Amateur satellite archaeologist Angela Micol spotted mysterious, pyramid-like structures in the Egyptian desert using Google Earth last year. Now, features such as cavities and shafts have been associated with the find, and "it has emerged [that] these formations are labeled as pyramids on several old and rare maps," Micol told Discovery News.
