High Strangeness, Thunderbirds, & Tunguska

Date

Hosted byGeorge Noory

Investigative reporter Linda Moulton Howe shared cases of high strangeness. In her first report, she detailed the Oct. 4, 2008 encounter of two hunters in Elk County, Pennsylvania who saw mysterious lights and a lime green, glowing humanoid floating across a field behind one of the odd lights. She interviewed UFO/cryptozoology researcher Stan Gordon, who spoke with the hunters.

Linda's second report also concerned Pennsylvania-- she looked at increasing "Thunderbird," or Pterodactyl-like sightings in the state, some as recent as May 2008. Again, Stan Gordon, who is based in PA, shared his research, describing one witness account in which a huge bird that stood 4-feet tall and had an estimated 21 feet wingspan was seen up close.

In a conversation with Dr. Leo Sprinkle, Linda revisited an unusual alien abduction case that took place in Cimarron, New Mexico, in May 1980. A mother and son said they saw a cow rising in a beam of light into a large disc, before they reported having a missing time occurrence. The latescientist Paul Bennewitz was also involved in the case.

For a discussion on the 1908 Tunguska incident (an explosion that occurred over Siberia), Linda was joined by author Nick Redfern, who'll be giving a presentation on this topic at the upcoming UFO Conference in Las Vegas. Linda noted that Scott Jones had engaged a remote viewer to look at Tunguska, and he made sketches of a disc-shaped object that crashed over the site.

Doomed to Die

Appearing briefly at the start of the show, R. Gary Patterson talked about an upcoming TV special that he participated in— Doomed to Die-- 13 Most Shocking Hollywood Curses. It will air on the E! Channel beginning on Oct. 25th.
