A weird piece of security camera footage from a supermarket in Scotland shows a worker suddenly tumbling to the ground and the owners of the store claim that her fall was caused by a ghost. The odd incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday at the Bourtreehill Supermarket in the community of Irving. In the video, an employee named Elise can be seen stocking some shelves. The mundane task quickly takes a strange and painful turn when she goes to step on a crate, but it moves away from her foot and she falls to the floor.
In a post on the store's Facebook page, the supermarket shared the video and declared that Elise's stumble was due to their resident ghost named Stacy, who took issue with the worker "flirting with her man." Fortunately, they said, the woman was not injured in the accident aside from some general soreness from the fall and claimed that "when we reviewed the CCTV, we noticed the crate appears to move without being touched."
While perhaps only a psychic medium could truly say if the store is haunted, skeptical observers have taken issue with the video in that it does appear as if Elise's foot briefly brushes up against the crate and causes it to move away from her as she attempts to step on it. As such, it would seem that Stacy, if she exists, is probably off the hook when it comes to this particular mishap.
